HOW TO ROOT SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 3 SM-N900T ON ANDROID 5.0 LOLLIPOP

  • Download the CF-Root package from this link.
  • Download one of the latest versions of the Odin flashing tool from this link.
  • You want to download both files to the Windows PC and transfer them over to the desktop.
  • Right-click over the files once they are on the desktop and select the ‘extract here’ option from the menu.
  • Double-click the Odin flashing tool and run that Odin tool on your computer — that’s where you will flash your tooting file in a minute.
  • Reboot the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to download mode — you must start with the device off for that to work.
  • Connect the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to the computer with the USB cable.
  • Click the PDA or AP button from the Odin user-interface.
  • Browse the computer’s desktop and upload the CF-Root executable file that you extracted earlier.
  • Click the Start button from the Odin user-interface and the Odin flashing tool will now flash that CF-Root file on your device and grant it rooting permissions.

Samsung has rolled out Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Galaxy Note 3 users via OTA. The update with XXUGBOB6 as build number is available for Galaxy Note 3 N9005 Snapdragon 800 variant and the update with build number XXUEBOB2 is available for Galaxy Note 3 N900. The update is being rolled out via OTA and it might take some time before it rolls out to your Galaxy Note 3.

How to update Galaxy Note 3 to Android 5.0 Lollipop official firmware:

Step 1: Download the Odin software and Android 5.0 Lollipop firmware suitable for your device.

Step 2: Open Odin software on PC as administrator.

Step 3: Power off Galaxy Note 3.

Step 4: Enter into Download Mode by pressing and holding Volume Down + Home + Power button and then pressing Volume Up key to enter into Download Mode.

Step 5: Connect Galaxy Note 3 to PC using appropriate USB cable.

Step 6: Now follow the Odin flashing Guide and flash the firmware on Galaxy Note 3.
